He founded Corporate Information Systems (CIS) in 1987 to address the recruiting needs of venture capital-backed startups, pre-IPO businesses, and Fortune 500 corporations – specializing in the high-tech industry. Since then, Marinaro has expanded his firm’s expertise to serve companies in the life sciences arena and other growth-oriented sectors. Jim Sparacia’s Biography
With 12 years of tenure at CIS, Jim has been an integral part of building the Central & Western United States for the firm. His track record of success stretches from Chicago down to Texas and out to California. His clients have ranged from venture backed emerging start-ups like Salesforce.com, Endeca, and Altiris during their early days, to industry mainstays like Business Objects, Filenet, and Web Methods. Prior to CIS, Jim has a background in Financial Planning and Law Enforcement. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice & English from University of Delaware, and a Masters Degree from Jersey City State.

Tony Marinaro’s Biography
Tony Marinaro has been a Senior Account Executive with CIS for the past 12 years and covers the Midwest territory for the firm. Throughout his tenure with CIS Tony has successfully built sales teams for established and VC backed software Companies. Some of Tony’s marquee clients are companies such as SAP, IBM, IBI, Vignette, Microstrategy and Compuware. Tony has been responsible for over 500 placements and searches for CIS and has been awarded Salesperson of the Quarter as well as Employee of the Quarter on numerous occasions in addition to receiving the prestigious President’s Award. Tony is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Business.

Kathy joined CIS in 1998 after spending over 10 years in the Temporary Staffing Industry. Kathy placed Administrative and Technical personnel in companies such as A&P, Sony and Biocraft Laboratories. Additionally she assisted with the development of new hire training programs as well as the training of new Sales Associates. With CIS Kathy has held several key positions. Starting as Recruiter placing Sales Executives within the Southeast territory Kathy became involved with the internal hiring of CIS Recruiters. For the last 8 years Kathy has been handling the Operations and Human Resources functions within CIS.
